The engagement · A business unit's program

Trust in a business unit's AI starts with the objective each program was approved to serve.

This page is for the leader of a business unit, or the sponsor of a program, inside a large company. Agents already act in the unit's systems, and no one can show the board or the auditor which objective each one serves. The program is written for the unit where that is true.

The unit of scope and price

We scope and price the work by the program.

In a business unit the program, not the department, is the unit of the work. One Ground covers the unit's artificial intelligence (AI) programs and the agents on their register, up to about twelve programs, and each program above that is priced in the statement of work. The baseline for each program is its approved business case, so every agent is measured against the objective the program was funded to reach.

The five steps

The five steps run unchanged, at program scale.

The program runs the same five steps as every engagement we take on. Ground writes down each program's objective and baseline from its approved business case and puts every agent, tool and vendor on a register with a named owner; inside Ground the sponsor holds the first picture, a one-page view of the unit ready for the board and the auditor. Align ties every entry on the register to its program's objective and names the gaps. Plan gives each gap an owner, a date and its controls, with three checkpoint reviews of the build inside the fee. In Build, the unit's own teams or the builders it chooses do the building, because MortarCloud.ai builds nothing and sells no tools. Keep is the living twin, the map kept current in the company's own environment, which we do not host. What the unit keeps after each step is as described on the five steps page.

The prices

Every price, founding and list, in one place.

  1. 01Ground is $75,000 founding and $120,000 list, paid half at signature and half at the first picture.
  2. 02Align and Plan are $60,000 founding and $90,000 list each, and the three steps together are $195,000 founding and $300,000 list.
  3. 03AI Build Assurance is $15,000 a month founding and $25,000 list, on a six-month minimum, after the three checkpoint reviews included in Plan.
  4. 04The twin license is $2,500 a month for each business unit, with a named support contact.
  5. 05Re-measurement is $15,000 per occasion.
  6. 06The founding prices belong to a founding set of up to three programs.

Not included The builder's cost in the fourth step, which the unit pays to whoever builds.

How it is bought

It begins with a pilot statement of work for Ground alone.

The first purchase is a pilot statement of work for Ground, at a fixed price, under the sponsor's own authority, with MortarCloud.ai onboarded as a supplier by corporate procurement. Each step after Ground is a separate decision under its own statement of work. We prime on our own paper. A partner that already holds your master services agreement may prime instead, with MortarCloud.ai delivering the work.

What we bring to procurement

What your procurement team receives before the first signature.

We bring a capability statement, the Standardized Information Gathering (SIG) questionnaire with its AI domain answered, a statement-of-work template, and a statement of which AI platforms touch your data and under what terms. A confidentiality agreement is signed before any record moves, and the unit's map stays in the company's own environment; the only public map is the one built for Hollister Reed, a fictional firm on trustleague.ai. The method comes from running responsible AI governance at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a company of more than 120,000 people.

How the conversation begins

One message, and one conversation.

The conversation begins on the contact page. Tell us the unit, the programs you have in mind and where the agents already act. The business cases and the register come later, under the statement of work and the confidentiality agreement.
